How to place a candyPet® Martingale dog collar?
Learn with this video how to correctly place a Martingale candyPet®®.
What is it and how is a Martingale dog collar different from a normal one?
The Martingale collars of candyPet®®,are collars formed by two nylon ribbons,in our case lined on both sides with cotton fabric (to minimize friction with the neck), and joined by welded metal buckles. In addition to give them greater strength they have reinforced seams.
It uses a semi-hanging system, with the advantage that does not harm the dog due to the width of the collar.
Also known as "Antiescape collars", because it is almost impossible to escape a properly adjusted Martingale.
It is ideal for breeds of dogs that has the head as narrow with the neck, such as greyhounds or podencos. But they can be used perfectly in any breed of dogs.
How to correctly choose Martingale dog collar size?
You have to take measurements of diameters A and B, as shown in the attached drawing.
Measure A: Head Contour
Around the widest part of the head, just before the ears.
This measurement is important because the collar must enter through this point.
Measure B: Neck Contour
Around the middle of the neck.
Once the measurements are taken, you have to choose the size in which the measured diameter is located. Our collars are the following sizes:
